All the qualifiers have been determined but a playoff doubleheader Wednesday night is still needed to put the Lackawanna League representatives in seeding order for the District 2 Class AA boys' basketball tournament.
Dunmore (18-7) and Montrose (18-7) will meet Wednesday at 6 at Carbondale to start the doubleheader. They are playing for the fourth and fifth seeds from the Lackawanna League in the district tournament.
Division champions Holy Cross (19-4) and Lakeland (17-7) meet in the second game at 8 to decide the first and second seeds.
The district tournament, which features three division champions and two other teams that won 20 games, begins Saturday.
The Holy Cross/Lakeland winner will meet the Montrose/Dunmore loser Saturday at 2:30 at Lackawanna College.
That game is in the same half of the bracket with the 2:30 game at Scranton matching Riverside (20-3) against GAR (20-2). Riverside is 20-0 against everyone else with three losses to Lackawanna Division 2 champion Holy Cross. GAR is 20-0 against everyone else with two losses to Wyoming Valley Conference Division 3 champion Meyers.
The Holy Cross-Lakeland loser will face Hanover Area (10-12) at Lackawanna at 1 p.m.
The Montrose-Dunmore winner will meet Meyers (20-2) at Wyoming Area at 1.
The semifinals and finals are February 29 and March 3. The district's top three teams all make the state tournament.
Riverside defeated Meyers, 49-36, in the final last year when Holy Cross earned the other state berth.
