The Scranton Cultural Center at the Masonic Temple is switching things up with this month‚??s edition of Up & Coming Comedy. Presented by Lamar Advertising, the Center will host its first clean comedy show Nov. 10 at 8 p.m. featuring Frankie Pace with John King. A regular at New York City‚??s ‚??The Comic Strip‚?Ě and ‚??The Improvisation,‚?Ě headliner Frankie Pace rubbed shoulders with some of the biggest names in comedy. In his first national performance, he appeared on ‚??Saturday Night Live,‚?Ě and then went on to appear on ‚??Show Offs‚?Ě and ‚??Rick Shaw‚??s Takeout Theatre.‚?Ě During his career as a comedian, Pace has worked with many comedic greats including: Robin Williams, Cheech and Chong, Whoopi Goldberg, Gladys Knight and Penn and Teller. Opening comedian, King, describes himself as ‚??an Army veteran, actor, musician, substitute teacher and bad credit risk.‚?Ě He draws on this eclectic mix of life experiences to entertain audiences everywhere with his style of comedy. His show is full of stand-up to songs and parodies. The show starts at 8 p.m. with cocktail hour and music beginning at 7 p.m. Light fare and a cash bar will be available throughout the evening.
