The Abington Heights boys and Mid Valley girls won Lackawanna League Qualifying Tournament games Tuesday night to improve their seeding positions for the upcoming District 2 basketball playoffs.

Abington Heights handled North Pocono, 55-31, in the game to decide the second and third spots from the league in Class AAA boys.

Mid Valley edged Holy Cross, 47-44, to determine the fourth and fifth spots in Class AA girls.

Montrose defeated Dunmore, 58-48, for the top two spots in Class AA girls.

Honesdale topped Valley View, 55-47, for the second and third positions in Class AAA girls.
