The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society's 2012 Northeast Light the Night Walk was held on Saturday, Sept. 29, at Nay Aug Park in Scranton.

Participants carried illuminated balloons of different colors during the two mile walk. White balloons are carried by survivors, red by supporters and gold in memory of loved ones.

Participants raised over $85,000 this year. Funds generated by the walk will support the Society's mission to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and myeloma, and improve the quality of life of patients and their families.
