Lackawanna eliminated with second loss

Lake Land ended Lackawanna College's women's basketball season with a 66-56 victory in the first consolation round at the National Junior College Athletic Association Division II national tournament Thursday morning in Peoria, Ill.

The Lady Falcons were one of four teams to go 0-2 in the tournament and finish tied for 13th through 16th places in the country.

Shelby Kohrmann came off the bench to score 20 points in less than 24 minutes for the Lakers, who opened a 41-27 halftime lead.

Lauren Bogle scored 19 points, grabbed eight rebounds and dished out five assists.

Scranton High graduate Terika Turner completed her career with a 16-point, 12-rebound effort.

Sabrina Coleman, a freshman from West Scranton, added 15 points and seven rebounds.
