According to the PennDOT Department of Transportation January 14, a travel advisory is in place.

There will be a right lane and shoulder closure on the Harrison Avenue Bridge, Scranton starting on Monday, Jan 14 through Jan. 28 for installation of drilling equipment from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The lane closure will be intermittent during the two week period. The work is core boring near the retaining wall. The work is part of the Harrison Ave Bridge Project.

The bridge project is expected to begin in 2014 and be completed in early 2015.

Motorist should use caution when traveling in the area.
