New Visions Studio and Gallery will host the Scranton Horror Film Fest Oct. 28 at 6 p.m. The event will have over three hours of original horror and suspense film viewings by local filmmakers, those from all over the country and internationally.
An emphasis on shorter films, there will be at least eight original videos shown in the three hour time span of the festival. The studio is still receiving submissions in the mail and they are being judged by Marywood University students Kevin Vogrin and Kyle Rebar.
Some of the submissions received include: Al Monelli's The Grave, Jeff Fowler's Zombie Laugh Riot, Anthony Desantis and Tom Peeler's Hotties from Hell - the Lost Trailer, Jamie Sutor's Scrutiny, Kyle Rebar's Man in a Cardboard Box, Kevin Vogrin's Self Mutilation, World of Trees' .travelers & Patience, and shorts by the Larry Wargo Crew.
A finalized list of included videos can been found a few days before the festival at New Visions’ website www.newvisionsstudio.com or on their Facebook page www.facebook.com/newvisionsstudio.
The cost to attend the festival is $5. Refreshments will be served. This is an all age event, although mature audiences are suggested.
