Wyoming Valley West hammered Delaware Valley, 56-30, in the opening game of the District 2-4 Class AAAA girls' basketball tournament Thursday night.

The remainder of the District 2 basketball quarterfinals are scheduled for tonight and Saturday.

Wyoming Valley West advances to play the Wallenpaupack-Scranton winner Tuesday.
