PITTSTON — Susquehanna Brewing Company (SBC) is a local favorite where history, community, and really good beer come together.
Proudly located in Pittston, Pennsylvania, SBC is a sixth-generation family business with roots stretching all the way back to 1857. Owners Ed Maier and Mark Nobile, along with Fred Maier, carry that legacy forward with a passion for craft brewing and a deep love for Northeastern Pennsylvania.
Susquehanna Brewing Company earned the Platinum Award for Microbrewery in the Times Leader Media Group’s Best of the Best promotion.
SBC officials said they are honored to be named a Platinum winner for Microbrewery and Gold winner for Place for Trivia and Beer Selection in this year’s Best of the Best.
All winners were honored on Monday, March 23, at the Friedman JCC in Kingston.
Inside the tasting room, you’ll find more than an award-winning beer selection. SBC offers a welcoming, laid-back space where friends gather, stories are shared, and new favorites are always on tap. From longtime staff who feel like family to first-time visitors who quickly become regulars, the experience here is all about connection.
The brewery has become a hub for events, including crowd-favorite Wednesday night trivia with Master Brad at 7 p.m., craft nights, Bingo, live music, food trucks and more.
Whether you’re stopping in for a pint, a flight, or a night out, there’s always something happening at SBC.
SBC officials said, “We’re beer people. It’s in our blood — 6th generation and going strong. Back before it was hip to brew beer, our grandfathers’ grandfathers spent time crafting the perfect, drinkable beer right here in NEPA. The torch has been passed, and now it’s our turn.
“We brew our beer for the good people of Northeastern Pennsylvania. We work hard. We hang out on the weekends. We tell good stories and laugh a little bit too loud. We’re proud to be a staple in our community.”
SBC said a huge thank-you to the community, the incredible staff, and everyone who continues to support and enjoy SBC’s beers.
Tasting Room hours are currently Sunday and Monday from 12 p.m.-5 p.m.; Tuesday from 12 p.m.-5 p.m. (with extended hours on craft nights), and Wednesday through Saturday from 12 p.m.-9 p,m,, with expanded hours coming soon for spring and summer.
