KINGSTON — Featuring emergency vehicles, police cars, and fire trucks of red, yellow, green and black, the 106th annual West Side Veterans Memorial Day Parade stepped off at 10:30 a.m. “sharp” on Memorial Day, honoring America’s fallen heroes.
Also proudly marching were community groups representing baseball leagues, Irem Temple Shriners, elected officials, Boy/Girl Scouts, and volunteers of all sorts.
The parade was sponsored by the Kingston VFW Post 283 and Commander Chuck Pavlick and Kingston American Legion Post 395 and Commander Mark Price.
This year’s Grand Marshal was Al Kircher, retired Marine and member of the VFW Post 283.
Guest speaker was Commander Chuck Pavlick and Master of Ceremonies will be Kevin Clocker.
The parade began at Kingston Corners and finished at the Forty Fort Cemetery, where a ceremony was held.
