Moosic man charged with robbing drug dealer that involved gunfire

WILKES-BARRE — City police on Monday charged a man from Moosic who allegedly orchestrated a plan to rob a drug dealer that resulted in three people getting shot earlier this year.

Miles Jermaine Singleton, 21, of Springbrook Avenue, was arraigned by District Judge Rick Cronauer on two counts of robbery and a single count of theft. He was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $50,000 bail.

Singleton suffered a gunshot wound to his leg during gunfire that erupted during the alleged robbery of Terence D. Bradley, 20, in the area of Sullivan and Sambourne streets, Wilkes-Barre, on Feb. 12.

Nichole Santiago, 21, and Alanah Sobrinski, 20, both of Scranton, were also shot during the gunfire with Bradley, court records say.

Santiago became paralyzed due to a gunshot wound to her back.

Police allege Singleton was the mastermind who planned to rob Bradley during a marijuana purchase. Singleton allegedly instructed Santiago to drive him to Sullivan Street to meet Bradley, court records say.

Police said the drug deal was set up through Facebook.

When Santiago stopped in the area of Sullivan Street to meet Bradley, known as “Billy Ace,” a transaction took place and Singleton yelled, “Go, go, go.” Santiago drove away as Bradley fired multiple rounds at Santiago’s vehicle.

Santiago continued to drive, stopping when she turned onto South Main Street and stopped the vehicle where police found it riddled with bullet holes.

Singleton fled the vehicle and was later found with a gunshot wound to his leg.

Bradley, of Wilkes-Barre, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and was sentenced Nov. 20 to 14 months to two years, six months in prison.
